Travel Insurance: The Best (and the worse!)

And for every hospital in the world, when they see a tourist coming, the first question is "Do you have travel insurance?". Let me tell you, if you don't have travel insurance you'll be in a complicated situation.

Travel insurance makes it possible to have medical assistance anywhere in the world without worrying about how much it will cost.

To choose the best partner you should take into consideration these 2 things:

- 24h assistance (no matter the time zone they will be available)

- they have partners all around the world (this will make the payement easier because the insurance will pay directly to the hospital, so no need for you to wate time asking for the refund)

Your insurance should include:

- Evacuation

- Repatriation

- Health expenses including all specializations, internment, medical fees and prescripted drugs

You need to have a telephone number and email available 24/7.

usually the insurance also covers baggage damages so if that happens to you, you should directly complain to the travel agency and send it to the insurance.

The most known partners when it comes to this topic are World Nomads and True Travellers. I can not share any experience with both cause I never used them.
